Operation Consume and Destroy brings us to the bottom of Nebuchadnezzar’s statue that foretold the times of the Gentile oppressors—to the feet made of clay and iron that do not mix. The ten toes correspond to the ten horns or leaders that comprise the Antichrist’s coalition of armies. Once the heavenly lights come back on, they’re ready to finish the invasion and take over Jerusalem. Apparently, they haven’t read the rest of the prophecy in Daniel 2.
“And in the days of these kings the God of Heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. Inasmuch as you saw that the Stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.” (Daniel 2:44-45). End-Time Lesson: Hopefully by now you recognize that the kings the God of Heaven sets up is us—Christ and His Bride seated as the one new Man who judges the earth as the immortal government. The Stone that crushes the Antichrist’s armies is not hewn by human hands but by God Almighty. It is comprised of living stones built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone upon which they are fashioned. It has become a holy temple in the Lord (Eph. 2:19-22). We are seated in the 3rd Heaven, before the throne of God, the place of all power and authority. Our ruling declarations release the snare of that Day—the seven trumpet and bowl judgments against evil. Revelation 19:11-16 shows us what this looks like in the spiritual realm. When the heavens are opened or revealed to John, he sees white horses. Horses represent warfare in this instance, righteous judgment. The heavenly army is led by Him who is called Faithful and True. It is the appointed time when He judges and makes war. His name is called the Word of God—Jesus Christ our Lord (John 1:1). His weapon of choice is a sharp sword (Rev. 1:16). As for the nature of this weapon, it was foretold in Psalm 149:6-9. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—this honor have all His saints [the Bride]. Praise the Lord! It’s also described in Hebrews 4:12: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” As Paul pointed out in Ephesians 6:12, we do not wrestle with flesh and blood. If you read carefully, you will see that the passage never says that this heavenly army descends to the earth. We don’t need to fight light mere mortals, for we have been fully perfected through resurrection. The passage is merely using figurative language to describe this spiritual warfare. Do we really think that Christ comes to the earth on a literal horse with a literal sword in His mouth, such that He swings His head back and forth to destroy the earthly armies? Plus, we also know that the so-called four horsemen of the Apocalypse have been releasing the forces of the tribulation for nearly 2,000 years. Has anyone seen those horses riding around in our visible atmosphere or on the earth? Of course not. The language merely represents what John saw in the Spirit. The two-edged sword simply describes our agreement with what God has already spoken over the earth. The passage goes on to tell us that once these ruling declarations strike down the oppressors, we rule over the people of the earth from above with a rod of iron (strength). It’s the treading down of the enemy with the winepress of His fierce wrath. For He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
