When Jesus told His disciples of His impending death and resurrection, He explained that He was going away to prepare a place for His Church to be with Him in Father’s House. He assured them that He would return to take us back to that prepared place when He comes at the rapture. He comes when the 7th Day, the Day of the Lord dawns.
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). We’re now closing in on the end of the 6th Day. That’s why Satan is working overtime to enthrone his counterfeit kingdom and plunge the world into great darkness. Sometimes standing firm in the peace we have in Christ is not always easy. I think part of the reason is that few believers understand the full extent of the “good news.” They know little about what the Word says will happen just before Christ comes. They know even less about what the Word says will happen during Christ’s 1,000-year reign over the earth. This is sad because it robs them of the comfort, hope, and victory that are theirs in Christ. It robs them of the peace that Jesus provided. When we understand the chronos times and the kairos seasons, when our hearts are established in those truths, we can be patient and wait eagerly for His coming and that Day. In 1 Corinthians 2:9, Paul quotes a passage from Isaiah that talks about that same Day, the Day of the Lord. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” How’s your expectation? Spoiler Alert: Satan fails! "The kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” Revelation 11:15
