![]() “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you are a New Testament believer, you are a new kind of being. We’re a new being because of the redeeming blood of Jesus. We are alive to God in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:11). We have God’s free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23). We shall spend eternity living in our prepared place in Father’s House, forever with our Beloved Lord, Jesus our Bridegroom. No other created being is like us. We’re human, yet we have a new spirit that connects to God through Christ. 2 Peter 1:4 says we are partakers of His nature. The Greek word is koinonos, and it means to associate with, be a companion with, be a sharer with, and be partners with. Literally, God takes what is common, unclean, and defiled, and makes us supernatural, clean, and righteous in His sight. “Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:2). We don’t know exactly what this new kind of being looks like yet because we’re not fully manifested. That comes when we are resurrected and overcome death when Jesus comes for us at the rapture. Then we will be fully conformed to His image, not just in our spirit but also in our soul and body! Together the Head of the Church and His Body will be complete. The Bridegroom and the Bride will be One. We shall sit together as the heavenly Immortal Government to unseat the evil spirits in the heavenlies and execute God’s judgment against the rebellious one-world order. And we will rule as joint-heirs over the earth during Christ’s millennial reign. But what about now? We need to grasp the reality of our “newness.” We are no longer slaves to sin, sickness, corruption, or lack. We are now longer subject to the circumstances of this natural earth because we are citizens of the Kingdom of God. We are no longer limited in our understanding because we have the Spirit of Truth within us. In our spirit, we are seated with Christ now so that we can show the power of God’s love and goodness (Ephesians 2:4-7). This is what the world desperately needs to see as we move by the Spirit. We can move this way because we are connected to Christ. We are in Him!
