End Times Q & A: #1

​Q: Why do I need to know anything about the end times?
 A: Hebrews 6:1-2 lists the “elementary principles of Christ.”

• repentance from dead works
• faith in God
• the doctrine of baptisms
• laying on of hands (healing)
• resurrection of the dead
• eternal judgment

 
The last two are major components of what we commonly call the end times. This means the end times is a basic doctrine of our Christian faith. So much so that one-third of the Bible deals with end-time events. Yet one-third of the sermons and teachings we hear are not about this basic and vital doctrine. No wonder so many believers know so little about the topic.
 
God gave us the Bible so that we can know Him, know His ways, and know His plans for us. He expects us to know about the end times.
