Dogs have ears that hear—you can see them in action. I know this from the black lab we had as a pet. The moment he heard something unusual, his ear perked up and pivoted toward the sound. No matter what he was doing in the yard, his ears were tuned in to his environment.
As Levelers, our environment is the atmosphere of Heaven on earth. The Spirit pricked my ear again this week about tuning into Him and not the multitudes of voices in the world. He wants to make sure we understand the importance of gathering together here on the Chronos Messenger blog. His message? Unity.
You see, many are confused by the multitude of voices concerning the end-times. God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). Christ wants His Body to gather in the upper room to hear the Heavenly Voice of the Spirit as He teaches us the biblical record of the end-times. We need to be expecting and declaring a unifying work in the Bride. He wants all the members of the team on the same page so that we can speak with one voice to effectively reap the greatest harvest of souls for the kingdom. Jesus is the Ark and God’s will is that everyone get into the Ark before the end comes (1 Timothy 2:4).
To do so, two things need to happen.
In terms of God’s times and seasons, it’s harvest time. We need to make sure that the harvesters are working in one accord. That’s why it is so important what voice we are hearing and what is uppermost in our minds. We have been called for such a time as this!
What’s on your agenda?
The topic of the “end-times” is uppermost on Father’s mind because He longs that all be saved (1 Timothy 2:4). It’s uppermost on the devil’s mind, too, because he knows his time is short. Sadly, very few pastors are teaching about this elementary doctrine of our faith (Hebrews 6:1-2). Why is this? Perhaps because they want to avoid picking an end-time view when there is so much confusion over the traditional options. Perhaps it is because they do not know themselves. Perhaps they feel there is no need to teach such doctrines. No matter what the reason, it’s leaving believers vulnerable.
That is not God’s intention. He reveals His will and ways through His Word (2 Timothy 3:16), through our resurrected Lord (John 1:18), through the Spirit of Revelation and Knowledge (Ephesians 1:17), and through His appointed instruments (Hebrews 1:1; Matthew 5:16). We are meant to see, perceive, and know that we know.
Instead of hearing a simple, beautiful melody of Christ’s return as with His first coming (Luke 2:13-14), the media reverberates with a cacophony of jarring voices, trumpeted headlines, and fantastical beats to drum up attention. We hardly know where to turn our attention. Could it be that there is a reason for these distractions?
The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of revelation and knowledge, is a gentleman. He responds to those who seek Him, who are open to hearing His quiet voice within their spirits. Part of understanding the times is having ears to hear. Are your ears captivated by the media megaphones or are your ears pricked by the still small voice that readies those who are seeking Him?
Isaiah 40 is a prophetic passage that spoke to those in the ancient past and speaks to the company of Levelers today—those equipped with eagle vision.
Understanding the times and the seasons from the Bible and not the traditions of men is what radically changed our perspective of living in these days. Seeing the big picture truly brings a sense of comfort, hope, and victory that far exceeds mere escapism. It’s understanding our role now, after the rapture, and into eternity. We are meant to know our heavenly calling.
Understanding the times and the seasons isn’t escapism. It’s following the biblical command to redeem the time (Ephesians 5:15-17). Even though that passage says the days are evil—as if we couldn’t tell! —we don’t have to cower in fear or despair. The purpose of the Chronos message in this hour is given in Colossians 4:5-6. Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
The sense of peace that comes with knowing and understanding the times means we can guide and warn others. We can have an answer ready for their questions. We can explain the hope that is within us. We can complete our assignment to preach the gospel and make disciples.
Will you join us? We would love to connect with those who labor with us, those who have an eye on the times and seasons through this blog, who are expecting God to move among us and through us as never before for this hour. Another way you can network with us is by sharing your email with us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can alert you to special events and offers. But more importantly, we want to pray for one another and encourage one another in the faith. Please be assured that your privacy will be respected. We will not sell or release any contact information. Nor will we bombard you with emails and financial requests.
Ours is a unique company and fellowship of people whose hearts yearn for our Lord’s return, knowing that the creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God.
Help us spread the word.
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 16:19-20)
The passion or “drivetrain” of a Chronos messenger is comfort, hope, and victory. I had another blog post set for today, but last night something echoed in my Spirit—reverberations. I had a strange sense of being at peace yet being unsettled. “What is this, Lord?”
He reminded me of a vision of the forerunner given some years ago and a prophecy given in 2012 to this ministry with this line: “Foundations of sand—the breach to repair; the Light of that Day must now be declared.”
The Spirit said we shall witness events that unsettle mankind, events that may not necessarily resound with human catastrophe, but that bring strange “reverberations” because they seem “out of the blue.” Such signs are part of the “kairos signs” of the end of this age, even though they are not The Sign that appears just before our Lord returns. The number of these signs signal that the end of this age of mankind is coming to a close (the “chronos times”).
Many people around us are like anchors in the sand. Events such as the “out of the blue” fire that struck a beloved iconic symbol of human civilization—the Notre Dame Cathedral—are like an unexpected wave that crashes into the beach and jars the anchor loose from its tenuous hold.
I sensed in my spirit that this is just one of several reverberations that will echo through the times we are living in. It will jar people from their comfort zones. It will unsettle them. And such events will increase. As believers we know the value of building on the Rock of our Salvation rather than the shifting sands of culture.
The fiery echo reminds us that we need to be ready with a message of comfort, hope, and victory that can only come through the One who brings eternal peace—Jesus, the Shepherd of our souls. Part of our call is to prepare the way for Christ’s return. Some may cry “Judgment!” but the Spirit says “there is comfort, hope, and victory available.” Are you unsettled by events or is your heart settled on Him?
Do you have a ready response for those who question the hope you have in Christ?
Many believers recognize that Christ’s return is near. It won’t be long until we shall hear the last trumpet sound that calls us to meet our Lord in the air and step into our Heavenly Calling as His Bride. In the meantime Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us to assemble together to encourage one another, stirring up love and good works.
To this end we are starting this blog and sounding a trumpet call to gather like-minded believers who long to be about our Father’s business in this day and hour (Luke 2:49). The foundational principle for this “assembly” is 1 Chronicles 12:32. Like the tribe of Issachar, we seek an understanding of the times to know what the Body of Christ ought to do in this pivotal time.
Yes, we are looking to Heaven and eagerly waiting for our Lord as His Bride, but it’s not just about waiting and surviving. God is moving in this hour and we have a part to play in it. We are living proof that He is Alive! The best is yet to come!
The author of Hebrews recognized that this age abounds with distractions and the cares of this world that endeavor to keep us from coming together to seek Father’s face. Thankfully, technology enables us to overcome the limitations of time and space to fellowship together around a timely message.
Our desire is to create a platform where we can study and discover what God has revealed in His Word concerning this age and the age to come—and our corresponding calling. We want it to be a “safe place” where we can exchange ideas, thoughts, and questions as to how to redeem the time remaining (Ephesians 5:26 and Colossians 4:5), stirring up love and good works by His Spirit.
We hope to assemble a company of Levelers equipped with eagle vision. We will explore what that means in the next few blogs.
